I discovered belly dance about two years ago. I have taken many dance classes throughout my life (I'm 45 years old)but I never thought of taking belly dance and when I did, I fell in love with the dance. I wish I had started sooner. But now that I have found this wonderful dance form I am going to continue. I want to get to your Pasadena City College class sometime soon. Also, I love how your daughter followed in your footsteps and became a belly dancer. I also have a daughter who is 25 and is beginning to dance with me. What a wonderful mother/daughter activity to share.

MessageI love the way you could see the beauty in a woman of size. That's so good to hear. With my disability, belly dancing has helped me. Its' natural movements, provocative music and the celebration of being a woman is what I believe is the best way to start even emotional healing, no matter the background.
Thank you for teaching people how to tap into themselves . Sad for me that I live on the East Coast. smilie
