A simple solution as you put it, is not so simple.
It is our right to own whatever breed of dog we want. We choose to fight for that freedom and also against a ridicules law that does nothing to remedy the situation of dog bites. BSL (Breed Specific Legislation) does not work for too many reasons to explain here.
We also love our companions as family members and to give up a family member for somebody else’s ideal, isn't even a compromise.
Could you give up a son or daughter as easily as that, or would you fight for them? I think that answers your question.
