| Message | Lanny, My grandfather (Ben) and your dad attended college together. He would tell me stories about an Angelo Poffo and how he would leave school to wrestle at shows and how he thought it ws crazy what your dad went through. Then one day I found out that 2 of my favorite wrestlers were none other than Angelo's sons. I just wanted to say thank you for all the great memories and I think that the work you have done outside the ring has been wonderful. Except for that Tony Little thing. Just kidding. Mark Altschul |

| Message | As a kid I really liked the Genius character you portrayed. As a matter of fact, I liked the character so much, I rooted for the Genius to win agaisnt Hulk Hogan during your legendary feud. I was kind of disappointed when the Genius character faded away from the limelight. But for this wrestling fan, you will always be in the limelight Lanny.  |

I have lots of sports items in my office but my 2 favorite items are an 8x10 picture I am in with Randy and your dad, and an autographed Leaping Lanny frisbee I got at a WWE house show years ago. Lanny, thank you for the fantastic memories. You hear horror stories about people meeting their favorite celebrities but when I met you, Randy, and your father, those all were pleasant experiences. | Message | I will never forget how you went out of your way to visit my Grandmother in the hospital in Halifax in 1983. She was a HUGE Lanny fan. She passed away about 2 years later. I've met so many wrestlers who thought they were all that and a bag of chips! You were the most down to earth person I've ever met. I wish you luck with this anti-smoking cause. I quit 5 years ago. Are you proud of me? I can't believe your 50. WOW! You're even handsomer now! |
