Message(Tuesday 0925) We're sitting between Meteorology lessons which we're supposed to have until 1105. Then there's a flying programme set up, but it doesn't look very promising outside. Everywhere is white. It actually looks really good (and cold) but we also have rather thick fog and icing conditions which isn't exactly ideal for flying. Let's wait and see what happens...

This Friday we have our final exam in written English, but as you know there isn't really any way that you can prepare yourself for such an exam, except than have a good night's sleep.

The lesson is starting again soon...

Message(Monday 1300) I just landed and it didn't go as good as I had tought. I wasn't accurate enough in holding my altitude and I did a goof at one of the turn-points where I mistook a village for another village so I was a bit off over the turn point. Then on the way home I got an 'engine-fire' as a simulated emergency. I handled it well and decided to perform a forced landing on a grass field. Then we flew home and debriefed. The IP gave me a 7 for the flight, so I have to do better next time.
Now it's time for some (late) lunch. Catch you later.

Message(Sunday 1220) I fixed the website and everything should be up and running again now. Tomorrow I'll try to upload the pictures from Thursday's visit to Stauning museum. We were supposed to have snow-storm all weekend, but we had clear blue skies instead. It would be great if the weather could stay like this throughout the whole week so that we can log some flying hours...

Message(Friday 0925) We've just been swimming where we played some more water-polo. It was fun but my team got our ass kicked.
Yesterday we had a good meeting. There weren't too many accusations, however the few convictions got big fines and all in all there were about 500kr in fines! Myself I got away with 2 fines, 30kr in all, so I have nothing to complain about.
Flying got cancelled again today due to the hopeless weather conditions once again. All that's left is a few lessons in Meteorology and then the usual 4 hour drive home. Yesterday we played a few table tennis games before cockpit drilling and we decided to play for beer to make it more interesting. I ended up with winning 1 beer which isn't much, but always better than losing...
Have a nice weekend.

Message(Thursday 1620) As said before, the weather was hopeless so the school took us to the Aircraft museum in Stauning as part of the Aircraft-engine knowledge course (mainly about jet engines). It was fun and it's always great to get away from the base for a few hours. We took quite a few pictures, so I'll probably upload them tomorrow or in the weekend. Now it's time for the daily cockpit-drill. After that there's only the GFU meeting left on the (unofficial) programme and I have a feeling that there will be a million accusations this evening as people were really watching each other in every move this week...it's going to be fun!

Message(Thursday 0850) The weather is hopeless today. Outside it's dark and rather depressing to look at. So we're sitting here having a few English lessons.
I noticed that there are some problems with some parts of the website so I'll fix them this weekend. It seems like none of us are going to fly this week. The meteorology final exam is approaching fast so w'll use some of our time in the weekend to start studying, since it's a big subject and also one of the heavy ones.
Now it's time to read some more about military helicopters. The programme for the rest of the day is still rather uncertain, so I'll let you know if something exciting comes up.

Message(Wednesday 1510) Done for the day. Another day without flying, so it won't be long before we'll start missing it again. Rumours say that we might have to finish Flying school between Christmas and New Year or else we'll have Christmas holidays and then go back to flying school in January. I hope that we'll get some Christmas holidays... I don't have anything against going back to flying school in January. Anyway I have a bit of a head ache, so I think I'm going to take a nap before I hit the books.

Message(Tuesday 1520) We just had our last test on the course, in Meteorology as you know. It went ok. No big deal but I did my best and I think that it was ok.
Flying got cancelled today since we had rather thick fog most of the day. There's flying on the programme tomorrow and I'm supposed to be flying ND-3, my third low-level navigation flight. I look forward for it and I hope that I won't repeat the same mistakes that I did on my last one.
So tonight I'll take the map for tomorrow's flight with me for some bed-time reading and get aquainted with the route and procedures.
That's it for now. Soon it's time for the daily cockpit drill with my friend from Sergeant school. Take care...

Message(Monday 1455) We didn't have English this morning. Instead we had 'physical training' where we were out playing golf. I had never tried golf before and to be honest, I think I'll just stick to flying...
We had the last 2 commisions in connection with solo checks while we were at the golf course. Unfortunately they both got a 'no' so now we're 11 student pilots and 4 co-pilots back on the team. The co-pilots have no solo checks, only a final check. Then when they're ready they'll be flying next to the pilot on the Navy's Lynx helicopters.
I have alot of studying to do this afternoon as Meteorology is our second largest subject on the course. That's it for now.

Message(Monday morning, way too early) Another week is on and according to our programme, there's only 4 weeks to go until Flying School is over.
Today we only have theory on the programme; English, Meteorology and 4 lessons of Psychology. It's our last chance to ask questions before our test in Meteorology which will be held tomorrow.
Lesson is starting now, so I'll catch you later.
