MessageVery nicely designed and informative site. I loved my time here and learned something I did not know. Like most, I always believed the Desiderata was originally found in an old church, many years ago. Then later I have read that it was actually written by Max Erhman and it was Copyrighted by his widow. I took that to be the truth, simply because I had no way of knowing anything different. Your explanation has certainly enlightened me as to some truths, and I have to admit that the style of writing seems to date back well before the 1920's. Thank you fo that, it has always been one of my favourite pieces of prose, especially the line Be at peace with God, whatever you prceive Him to be The rest of your site is just as enlightening. I thank you for sharing your collection with us all. God bless you and yours always. If you get the time call in to these two sites.
