So, what is this Petro-Dollar agreement and how does it affect us? The Petro-Dollar agreement strong arms other nations to use US Dollars to buy their oil and makes the Dollar the world’s currency. Currently, this is why the USA is the only country in the world that can take paper, throw some ink on it, and exchange it for oil or other commodities (worth “trillions”, in real value).
