| Message | To-day, we welcomed Georgina Ward, a medical secretary working in a hospital in Nottingham England. Georgina came over to spend some days with Marloes. Georgina wished to work in Nepal as a volunteer in an orphanage. Without knowing Marloes personally, Georgina arrived at the airport of Kathmandu on the 1st of January 2006 to work and live in the Langtang Children Home for 3 months. Georgina and Marloes had a real great time together and Georgina is now here to feast on the rythms of the "Top 100" festival in Made. Also Marjolijn, my oldest daughter and having been in Nepal twice with Marloes, will join them. On Sundayafternoon the "3 girls from Nepal" have a stand on the festival of "Wereldwijd" in Loon op Zand, selling ballpoints and seeking sponsors for the orphanage. As a starter, Georgina handed over to me an amount of Euro 380 she collected with the sale of home made cake in the hospital she is working. Thank you very much Georgina, highly appreciated. May be a good idea for the readers also to look for alternative means of financing of the orphanage. Georgina leaves for a 3 weeks visit to Langtang Children Home on June the 8th. I wish her a great time in Nepal and a lovely reunion with the children and staff. Georgina, although I have not tasted your cake, you should be a pretty good cook (or a good sales lady). Euro 380!!!!, a job well done. Again, thank you. Koen Twilt |
