MessageWhen the HMAS Queenborough & HMAS Quiberon visited Saigon late January/early February, 1963; I was a member of the US Army stationed nearby at Tan Son Nhut with the 3rdRRU. We entertained a number of the Queenborough fellows at our Club at Davis Station and in turn had lunch on their ship prior to it's departure. I have in my possesion a cap given by one Mr. R. Potts, I also received a ship's pennant Seek and Slay thanks to L/S Ken Brown from Tasmania, I also received a glowing letter from Ken thanking our crew for the hospitality. Other Aussie names in my address book include: Derryl Beswick, John Ramsey, Dave Watters. I am in the process of writing my memoirs of that encounter for the Log Book of our Unit Alumni Assoc. recalling the fun we had. I have a number of photos of the Rugby match and of several Queenborough sailors at our home, Davis Station. I'd be interested in corresponding with those who shared the camaraderie.
Sincerely.

MessageHello all, I did three trips to Nam on the ferry at the end of 1972 and this site sure brings back memories. I also escorted her in on a couple of occasions. If only we could turn back time to see all the old faces...

MessageThank you John for answering my e-mail. I have a document which tells me that the Agents where being used from early `60s untill `71, which means the ships mentioned should be included in the report. Also some websites also have documentation stating the same.
