MessageHey Christina, Tim, Ethan and Mike,
YOu all have been in my thoughts lately and when I tried the old number, it was disconnected. So, of course I tried this site and see that you have left Washington state. Sounds like Mike is still in WA? TBI has gotten some real attention this last year and we even had a bill passed creating a TBI Fund in WA. A TBI Council has been formed to advise DSHS & Legislators on how to distribute this fund - very exciting. BIAWA is working with VA - more exciting stuff. Would love to hear what's going on in everyone's lives. Here's to a great 2008!

MessageChristina & Tim,
We're "fixin'" to send our Christmas cards and noticed you're back here in "ole Virginny".
Family is still in Williamsburg and I drive I-64/I-95 by Richmond every week to/from my job in D.C.
What's your address and when can we come by to say "hey" to "you all".
Best wishes,
Haggy

MessageTim & Christina,

It's been about 6 years since I saw you last, but I still think of you. I pray that visible progress continues, and want to tell you that you both remain an inspiration for my wife and me.

Blessings to you both. Once a Bonehead Eagle Driver, Always a Bonehead Eagle Driver!

MessageChristina,
How lucky Tim is to have you as his wife. Even though neither of you know me, I too am a TBI survivor. Tims recovery progression is amazing. Tell him that I said he is blessed with you, his family, and his friends. Unfortunately, even though I live in one of our countries most beautiful places,(Carmel by the Sea), I do it alone. Since my accident in 2001, my friends have vanished from my life. My phone never rings. Absolutely no one comes by to visit, yet I always have a smile on my face. Within the past week, for my first time, I am accessing many different TBI related sites and learning so much. Tell Tim I said to always stand strong, for I also know how hard it can be. And you be strong also. You also have been blessed.

MessageYour website is a ray of hope to all of us. As a caregiver to a tbi husband the site brought both tears and happiness. I truly understand how your life has changed for both of you but the pictures show that you are recovering well. The baby boy is gorgeous. Keep us posted on how things are going?

Concerned tbi spouse,
Karen

MessageHi!

My name is Bri and my husband Daniel was involved in a serious car accident approximately 14 weeks ago this past Sunday...Accident was June 19th 2005. We have two small children.

He suffered a left frontal/temporal subarachnoid hemorrhage, subdural hematoma, and pontine duct hemorrhage. The doctors said he wouldn't live more then a few hours. Together we all prayed for him and he made it! The doctors said it was a miracle that he made it, and the swelling in his brain (which was supposed to be the worst on the 3rd day) had stopped and gone down. He was in a coma for 2 weeks, vegetative state for 8 weeks, and aware (according to doctors) for 4 weeks.

He is in a rehabilitation hospital, and is making progress everyday! He is trying to speak, all which is appropriate (and 50% coherent). Your site is an inspiration to many, and I hope to put one together for Danny real soon. I hope he has as good of a recovery as you! I would love to hear more about your story, and recovery up to this point. Thank you so much for sharing...there is not much out there in regards to this, and of course, we are all scared to death, but hopeful.

Love
Bri
