| Message | Shane - From the first time I started reading your posts, it struck me that you were touching the lives of people you would never be able to keep track of, many you would never ever even hear from. I have heard there are only TWO ways we affect EACH and every person we come in contact with - (1) You bring them closer to the Lord; or (2) You push them away from the Lord... My gosh, Shane...you have brought so many of us CLOSER, even those of us who already knew Him, now know Him more intimately through your writings. Thank you for doing that for all of us. |

When the words Try and Heart come up I think of You! Your never quit attitude won many rodeos and continues to inspire more than you can imagine. After my accident I was telling you I would not beable to rodeo or rope again. You basicly said why! and told me to quit making excuses! I like to read all of your posts because you are so strong and positive. I am so sorry that your news was not the best. I pray for a miricle for you. | Message | Shane and Hope, I haven't checked on this page in about a month until tonight. I am saddened to hear the news from Mayo. I, my family and church have been praying for you since the beginning (I used to work with Jesse in SD). I will make sure we continue to pray in this new, more difficult situation and trust the Holy Spirit with how to pray. We will pray for Hope and your whole family. | Message | Although I talk to you several times a day, I thought I would send you a message. I've protected you my entire life and honestly feel helpless right now. You mean the world to me. The best thing that has come out of this is that you've made me a better person. It really sucks that you had to have cancer to do that. You've made a difference in a lot of lives, especially mine. Nobody has more heart and try than you do. I don't give a damn what the doctors tell you. Keep on keepin on and don't let go until your head hits the ground twice. You aren't sick unless you think you are. I love you with all my heart and will see you at Dad's over Christmas. |

One of my friends told me once that when her Dad had cancer he finally decided that either he would get better or he would go and be with Jesus....either way he won. I know that is a simple way of looking at it, and easy for me to say, but I know that God can and will give you the peace and comfort to deal with each day. We love you. |
