| Message | assalamu aleikum very good posts, as usual  Minority touched me very deeply. I always felt I was in a minority, and that isn't an easy feeling to live with. For the story of the mother of seven daughters and two sons, I know one mother had seven daughters (one died in childhood) and six sons, and she did not have a school education at all, although she was educated at home, no English, only Urdu, and she was widowed in her late thirties. This was a Muslim woman who observed purdah, who now had to work at home to feed and clothe her children, who had to recall her eldest sons to start earning to keep body and soul together, and who had to migrate quite a few times in her life, leaving behind everything. Today all her sons and daughters are in one piece; all are practicing Muslims; none has turned to crime; most have achieved formal education to Masters or above; all have a craving for reading, something they inherited from her. This is because Allah {swt} gave them this wonderful mother. All praise is due only to Allah (swt) About the narrow tribalism of the Arabs, I, too, have wondered how this has entered and is ingrained in the Arabs. Perhaps it is not just the Arabs, for I have seen it everywhere, and this occurs despite the warnings against it. I could go on and on the other posts too, all of which are excellent. Thanks for this wonderful read. |
