| Message | Hi, My dad was born in Sutton and moved to Oldham to play football for the Latics in the 1920's but all his family remained in the area and we lost touch. He was called Robert and he died in 2004 aged 97. If you have any members of the family in your congregation, we would like to wish them and your church A MERRY CHRISTMAS and A HAPPY NEW YEAR. You know, I was born in St.Helens and used to spend most of my time around Herbert St. and the rest of Sutton but I never knew your hurch was there! | Message | We are all looking forward to the forthcoming open day at church on Saturday 20th September. There is so much planning going into the event. I hope that we have a huge response and that lots of our neighbours in Sutton Village take the opportunity to pop in for a chat. And maybe bring in an old unwanted mobile phone for our collection ha ha. It doesn't matter if the phone works or not. It can be in any condition and doesn't need to have battery, charger or sim card. We raise funds for our youth work and stop these old things going into landfill so we are all helping to save the planet as well. Thanks. |
