MessageThat Doyle Holly piece was very well written - I enjoyed the read. Doyle was one hell of a musician, as you know all that Buckaroos stuff was real tight. There will never be a better group - in my opinion, and Doyle was right that Carnegie Hall album was the best record ever recorded - at least live recording anyway, I've listened to that well over 100 times.

MessageIn 2004, when my brother, FAMOUS SONGWRITER Max D. Barnes died, Dave's Diary did a fantastic article about Max and his wonderful songs.
I am just dropping in to say that I am still in the Music Business, and hope one day to have an article about ME in Dave's Diary.
LAST YEAR, BOTH Max D. and I were inducted into the American Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame.

I would love to hear from anyone who remembers Max and his Award winning songs...CHISELED IN STONE, LOOK AT US.... WHO'S GONNA FILL THEIR SHOES?... etc.

Unfortunately, many of the original country sites like lpdiscography have disappeared, probably due to lack of $$$ to support bandwidth of website.

I'm positive nu country is staying for the duration. I hope.
