MessageHi Burner,

I have been following your posts on Surplusrifle.com. Have learned alot. I need to look into making a web site to display my collection, too. I like the idea.

MessageHi Burner, we exchanged e-mails awhile back but I don't remember signing your guest book. I saw your post regarding photographing firearms and, now that I'm retired, I want to record my collection for record and insurance purposes and I'd also like to learn how to attach a picture to forum posts. My wife is complaining that our bedroom smells like gun oil: could it be my closet containing 14 Milsurp rifles, including 3 M1 Garands, 2 O3 Springfields, a 1917 Enfield, 3 SMLEs, 2 mausers, an M14(M1A), an M16(AR15) and an M1 Carbine. She will just have to live with it! Since I got my C&R in February, I've gone a little wild. In any case, Hello again and happy shooting/collecting.

MessageHello, I just wanted a ball park figure of what the value would be for a Terk/German Mauser model 1893 issued in 1939. I bought it at an estate sale of a retired US Marine Col. All of his guns were in mint condition including the one I purchased. Thank you
Jolene

MessageBurner just wanted to say hello, after aquiring everything from a 9mm UZI to 303 Enfield to 7.62 AK, TO .223 COLT HBAR,all of which still live in my closet. But there was a strong desire as I have always liked the appearance of the FAL.in 308. cal. So today 4/5/05 I took possesion of a CAI, R1659NB-X. I think I did okay as the total cost was $407.50 to Century, and $25.00 to the FFL, for transfer fee. I know nothing of this rifle, nor could the Century employees tell me the orgin of the parts!I have many questions, first of all a good source for a manual, after I can identify my purchase. THANKS MIKE

MessageI bought my SKS out of spite when gun ban was lifted and in response to some thing the Illinois governor said about restricting guns throughout Illinois like in Chicago. I am terribly disheartened every time one of the fine weapons makes the news in the hands of a misfit, because you know the Anti-gun group is chambering up that round to take all our guns away. I’m glad to see a moderator who takes such great interest in keeping everyone informed and legal. I would like to shoot with you some day.
