| Message | Hi Jon Mark: I love your songs. I remember when you were very young and we all lived in Granger, Texas. Your father baptized my husband, Bill. We cam by one evening to see you all years later and visited with your family. My husband used to travel with a gospel group out of Corpus Christi, Texas in the 70's under the name, The Emmanuels". In fact they sang at London Bridge Baptist Church back then. I have been in touch with Cheryl and your Mom. So glad to reconnect with your family again. I have a three sons, and one of them is named Mark after your Dad & of course, Mark, from the gospel of Mark. My Mark is also a songwriter and singer. He lives in Elgin, Texas. | Message | HI Jonmark, Thanks again for making Billy's Memorial so special. I would have loved more music in his honor, but understand the setting dictated the tenor. I'd love it if we (the folks who made music with him) would get together sometime and shared our memories and moments of "Strange-ness" one last time. I think back and look at all the amazing people and experiences I had with and through him - he is and will always be a highlight of my musical career and positive memories of a business not exactly well versed in high morality. | Message | Jonmark, man i'm sorry for the confusion on the OFC. I was just happy for you brother. I have listened an listened and you are such a great artist. I know you busy, but if you send me your e mail address, would it be ok if I sent mp3's of songs i'm working on for my next cd, just to get your impute. Do you use any effects when you play live. Mostly I just use chorus and reverb, sometimes compression. All my music is free. I know, but my goal in music has been if I can touch one person with one song I'm happy. In all the times I have played out I never accepted pay. I still don't. I'm just trying to touch that one person, and for me that what make music fun. But you have a new big fan brother, keep it up, and I really hope someday you get that payoff. You paid the dues. Kit Mann |
