| Message | We will be holding the event in memory of William Blick, a student from the University of West England who died in a tragic accident at this year's BUSC Main Event. It was with great sadness that we had to inform the Student community of William's death. It was a huge shock to everyone and a tragic end to the year. All our thoughts go out to all of his friends and family. William was a young guy full of life, and we are sure he would not want it to be a somber occasion. The event will raise money for a charity that he strongly believed in and we will celebrate the fantastic life he managed to achieve in his 21 years. The charity is called 'World Vision' (http://www.worldvision.org.uk/) which helps over 100 million people in their struggle against poverty, hunger and injustice. Curious Generation provided all the music for this year's Main Event (including Dirty Vegas and the True Confessors) which I am sure you will agree went down very well with the crowds! Following this fantasic partnership, the Curious Generation team have kindly agreed to help us put on this great event and YOU are invited. Why a party in a field? Because it will be a brilliant chance to gather all your favourite BUSC people together, see friends from Unis all around the UK, listen to some funky bands, dance to some wicked DJs and have a fun weekend in the country! Come along, pitch your tent, grab a burger from the BBQ, a can from the bar, say hi to all your mates, sit around the camp fires, BBQ some marsh mallows, win some prizes in the raffle, listen to the bands, enjoy a hog roast sarnie,dance to the DJs, bring your own picnic and booze and have a feast, chill out to some acoustic sets and finally, after you are all partyed out, retire to your tent! | Message | Incase people were worried when stu mentioned i was in a car crash, which i can imagion everyne was, i'm ok. my bro turned out infornt of a dude doing about 40 in a van (a big van, no a truck, no a juggernaught), and nailed into the passenger side where i was sitting! i got away with a black eye and a few cuts, dunno how everyone turned out ok, but i now go by the name 'man of steel' . The incident occured not more that 200m from stu's house but he deemed his dinner more pressing than coming to see if i was ok. Let it be known i'm not Stu's bitch! |
