Why can't I find anymore the private message sender's name in my guest book? Even the flag is nowhere to be found. All of the private messages are now displayed as "Private Message added (date)" which in my opinion looks "boring." At least, the future guests must also know who visited our sites.

Andreas, I like the the way they were previously displayed. Guest book owners, what do you think?:(

I kind of agree with you, however, a private message should be private. If I visit your guestbook and don't want my message to be public I check the Private checkbox and I expect my entire post to be visible to the guestbook owner only.

Perhaps it would be okay if we could display the flag and date only and hide the name of the poster?

If a lot you strongly disagree with me I am more than happy to return to the old display method, but it is my humble opinion that the way it works now is more logical.

Feedback on this matter is most welcome...

Hi! Thanks for a reply!

In my opinion, I think there is no problem if the poster's name and flag will be displayed. It's a guest book anyway. Keeping the "message" only as private, I guess, is what makes it logical. If the poster's message is really that sensitive, the posters, I believe, are not dumb.
They may change their names and flags and reveal their true identity in the "private message" where only the guest book owner can have the access.
They may also choose not to sign at all but email the guest book owner instead.

Well, just an honest opinion. Thanks again Andreas!!!
