Hi,

Search for code that looks something like this:

<!-- UltraGuest HTML Code Start -->
....
<!-- UltraGuest HTML Code End -->

and remove everything between these two tags. Let me know if you are having any problems.

You need to look in the source code of your HTML file. The code is most likely in the same place where you added it :)

If you need any further help I'm going to have to look at the page you are having trouble with, in which case I'm going to need to know the URL.

I need to know the address (=URL) of your website where you are unable to remove the link. If I am going to help you I will need to see the actual page where you can't remove the link.

Doing a search for "ultraguest.com" and removing surrounding tags would fix this problem. If you don't know how to do this, I would encourage you to learn about HTML here: http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp

How did you add the code? You are basically to do the exact same thing, but instead of adding the code you should remove it.

i try to delete it ,but it won't let me. when i go to edit or try to remove it, it says if you think this is an unexpected error, please contact the help desk, which brings me here to your guestbook support.

Your guestbook does not exist on ultraguest.com any more. It has been completely removed as requested. The link is on your website, and if you are having difficulties editing your files (ie. getting unexpected errors) you should probably talk to your web host.

But just to make sure that I understand you correctly, you saying that the following is happening:

You edit a file physically located at your web host or your web server - not on ultraguest.com
You are trying to remove a link to your guestbook from that file (see previous posts)
When you try to edit/save the file you get an "unexpected error" saying something like "please contact the help desk" and that this error links to forum.ultraguest.com

I assume that I misunderstand you here, because I have a very hard time believing that your web host links to ultraguest.com when "unexpected errors" are occurring... :)

Please clarify and I'll be happy to help you!

yes, it will not let me edit at all. and the only way to delete it is to click edit, but when i do it says unexpected error, when i click on it to edit or on the view guestbook itself, it says unexpected error and shows the link help desk which when i click on it, it sends me to your forum. i wish there was a way you could take a look at it.

If you would like me to fix the file you may either
1. email me the file
2. email me user name/password to your website

You may use this email (click to view):

http://forum.ultraguest.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=6&stc=1&d=1119907120

Otherwise I'm going to need more detailed information about exactly what you are doing (step by step) and all errors you are getting.
