MessageMy Grandfather, G. Grandfather, and GG. Grandfather lived in Lumpkin County. GG: Sgt. William Andrew Stringer. Great: John Allison Stringer. GF: Alfred Millard Stringer

Allison's first wife, Amanda Glaze, died and is buried in the Wahoo Bapt. Church cemetery. He remarried (Brilla Josephine Bryant) and moved with his children (by Amanda) to Jackson County (GA). When Allison died, he was buried next to Amanda. Two of his brothers, Tom and Charlie, are buried in the same cemetery. Another brother, Scott, moved to Jackson County .

MessageI believe my third great grandfather and his family settled in Auraria in the 1840s, possibly because of the mining opportunities. The census of 1850 is the earliest record I have of them. The father, first name unknown, surname Welch is not listed and it is thought he died there sometime in the 1840s. Are there any records available to you that I might be able to consult regarding he and his family?

The family (mother and children) eventually relocated to Spring Place in Murray County.

MessageMy grandfather was James H. Brown. His mother Leila was a twin He married Emma I. Parisien and fathered 3 children. He also served in the NAVY. This may be a bit of a forward way of research...but I am simply trying to find my geneology. If anyone reading this can tell me the story of my grandfathers' mother and/or her twin sister...I would be much obliged. What were their mothers maiden name? Did they have siblings? Any info. Thank You! smilie smilie smilie
