MessageHi Clint,

What a great reference! Wonderful mention of the hobby. I'll be directing schools that I'm mentoring to visit this site.

My wishes to Flabob for a successful ARISS contact with NA1SS.

MessageCongratulations to Flabob! I can appreciate how you all feel as you prepare for your contact because our contact for Liberty Junior High in Burbank Illinois was chosen as an alternate for this year also. We have been penciled in for the week of March 12, 2012, but do not have a definite date yet. What a great opportunity for the students!

MessageHi Clint

Great work. Hope to be in the area when this happens - if that's possible. Looking forward to more in the future for the mountain community.

MessageHi Clint -

I thought I would send you an e-mail because I was pleasantly surprised to read the article on eHam about Flabob Airport Prepatory Academy's ARISS contact. My message is not so much about the ARISS doings as it is Flabob Airport.

I grew up on Briggs Street right behind what was the old Mayfair Market shopping center on Mission Blvd. and more recently the Club Metro. As a kid I spent many, many summer days at Flabob Airport just hanging around and checking out all the airplanes. Back in the 60's there were several people flew in WW-II planes to work on and one fellow converted a B-24 bomber to a fire bomber for the Arizona Forestry Dept..

I have not been to Flabob in perhaps 12 years, the last time I was in the area. I know Rubidoux has expanded, grown and changed a lot since I left the area in 1976. I graduated from what was Rubidoux High School in 1967....

Well, I hope your project was a success and I am glad to see you promoting ham radio and being part of the process of keeping the hobby alive.

MessageHi Clint!

Congrats, again! I think it's great the kids will have that opportunity to talk with the ISS while at such a neat airport as Flabob!
