Message | Nick was Tony’s best man at our wedding. Tony was “Nick” for half of the mass, thanks to our slightly forgetful priest. We couldn’t ask for a more perfect day, and a more perfect person to honor Tony. In his speech in front of our 100 guests, Nick reminisced about the days when Tony lived in San Diego and they went to lunch at Rubio’s at least twice per week. He spoke from his heart, with such sincerity, gratitude, and love. I almost felt bad for being the one to separate him from his brother who had been sad when Tony moved up to Oakland to start his life there. Tony spent countless hours with Nick and his family, and at that moment during his speech, I realized what a deep connection they had to one another. I was so proud to be marrying into such wonderful family filled with so much love.
My wish for Nick is that he find peace, and look for my father in heaven. We will miss you... |
