| Message | We stayed at Okain's Bay Camping Ground along with 4 other families, including numerous children aged from 3-9 years, for 10 days last Xmas/New Year 2010/11. We are going back this Xmas, and for longer! Absolutely loved it! Spectacular scenery, beautiful safe beach and estaury, great camping ground for kids (bring their bikes), flying fox is fabulous. Fantastic to have the little shop available in the village and Akaroa very close by. It is the first camping ground in 4 years of camping we are going back to! Amenities are good, not plentiful in the shower department but you rarely had to wait. The drive is beautiful, though quite bendy, but worth the trip. Highly recommend, book early as it fills up at Xmas!  |
