Message | Todays Black History pic is of a living treasure, Hank Carter. That's his picture posted as my Facebook profile pic. This man has inspired thousands, and I kid you not on this! He has done so much for so many, I'm sure that he will have a clear path straight into heaven. We lived in the same building when I was a child and he has been a friend and mentor ever since. I have no doubt that when it's time for his homgoing ceremony the world will have lost one of it's most incredible human beings. Dignitaries, celebrities, friends, family, and little folk like me will come out in droves to pay our respects to a MAN who altough may not be as well known as Barack, Martin, or Thurgood, he has done as much for young people, the Long Island City NY community, Coler Memorial Hospital, and the physically impaired(I don't call them handicapped!) just to name a few. Many pro basketball players both past and present owe it to him for their careers, and when Hank holds his Wheelchair Memorial Tournament many of them come out faithfully to pay back for what he has done. Please believe, this little blurb is not about a basketballcoach, not at all because that is only a grain of sand about what he has done and accomplished. Matter of fact, I shouldn't have even mentioned it because basketball is not what he's about. He is simply one of the most unrecognized humanitarians and individuals in the world today, and that is no joke! I speak highly of him because he is due, thank you Hank Carter! |
