Yes I'm going for #3...#1 in my book, Rita, if you were at the last reunion you met her. But that dosn't mean that Lindsey and I will not be sharing a room again in the future!!!!!!!!!!! MessageHello Gang,
I'm leaving another message b/c when I left the fist one, not paying any attention, clicked on GEORGIA for my location. Made since 'cause that's where I live. After doing so, I realized that it was the "Republic of Gerogia"!! Just wanted to get the Stars and Stripes flying on my page too!!

MessageGREAT website Bruce. Just got newsletter. Sorry to hear about all the passings in the last year. Must have changed my email address and didn't let JD know. Looking forward to D.C. Reunion. You that attend the reunions know that my friend Mark Aronoff has been single since the '90s. You'll be gald to know he's getting married in August in Florida and spending his honeymoon in Gerogia. He and his bride will be in D. C. next year too. (They were in Charleston too, but not married)
Getting ready to email "Newman" (never knew his frist name till today!!..it's Tim). He was the DD on the advance bace. Hauled my butt to town and back a lot. Ask him one time to "carry" me to town...He said I was too heavy to carry, but he would "take" me to town. Another one of those southen things I guess.

MessageGreatly improved website; thanks for your hard work.

Sorry, missed the Charleston reunion; see you in DC.

Lost Fay, my better-half, in Mar 06 but I am slowly adjusting; really appreciate all the support I felt from Tally shipmates; several drove long distances to her Memorial service, a truly above and beyond show of your love for her. I thank you all.

Best wishes until we meet again.
Love you all and happy & proud to call you "SHIPMATE"

MessageI had a great time while stationed on board. The crew was the best. I spent a lot of time in Soudha Bay as the RM there. Hope to see everyone in D.C. in 2011.

MessageAlways enjoy receiving the reunion news. Unfortunately my wife and I don't do much traveling anymore - getting "too long in the tooth" for it now. We have moved back to our home area (Amarillo, TX) and now the grandkids have to come visit us. I enjoyed all my days onboard the TallyHo - even the boring days of transiting from Charleston to Rota riding herd on the Spanish yard oiler and the Iranian minesweeper. Wonder if they are still afloat somewhere. Have fond memories of Naples - which some sailors find strange. smilie smilie smilie
