MessageI joined AVB-2 in the shipyard in Charleston and left in Novenber 1963. I have many fond memories of the two years home-ported in Napels. My youngest son was born in Naples.

MessageMy most vivid memory is when we in dry-dock and was temp at comfairmed and received a message from the USS Liberty that they were under attack. I was back up to Sasher RM2 who was in charge at the time.

MessageHad a great time. Did a lot of sight seeing that I nerver would have as a civilian. Was back in Athens in 2002 brought back a lot of memories. Any friends of Bill W. give me a shout and we'll have our own little get together in D.C.
