MessageI noticed you didn't have much information on the Cassidy's whom lived in Philadelphia and my grandfather Joseph was from that area. Kind of curious if you might have any more info on that group. Perhaps I would be able to fill that in. I'll ask other family members if they have info. You can reach me at the email I provided. Thanks for taking the time to put this online and dont hesitate to write back smilie

MessageI am looking for my Irish ancestry from John Cassidy c1745-1820. He died 24 MAY 1820 in Newton, Sussex, New Jersey, USA. Parents unknown and siblings unknown. Came to Newton, NJ prior to 1809. Md Anna Catherine Kriss? in 1809 second. 4 known sons in his will: John C. 1775-1832; James 1780-1834; William 1785-; Patrick 1787-1871??.
The Patrick is uncertain as there seem to be two Patricks in Sussex county, both born about the same time. It would lead me to believe John may have had a sibling with a son Patrick also. Any insight to the Irish ancestry would be helpful. Even if I could determine who the mother of John's 4 sons was.
