MessageThis is so beautifully done and so touching that I have a lump in my throat. What a gift to the memory of our fallen servicemen and also to the families of those who served in both wars.

MessageI happened upon your site seeking information on burial records for Golspie and I am very impressed with your website. I had recently discovered the death of a Charles Dickson Wishart, Veterinary Surgeon at the age of 42 years. It appears that he took his own life in Golspie and I wondered if I might find a grave or an article on him. He married Euphemia McKintosh on the 18 Apr 1905 and died 11 Mar 1907. He had previously been married to Jane Pow of Tranent, (a great aunt of my husbands) and fathered a daughter Norah Liddle Wishart.

MessageThis web site has been a great resource, I have been able to connect so many branches of my husbands family. The townships and counties were a mystery to me but the more I visit the web site the more I begin to understand the lay of the land. In a few years we hope to go to Scotland and try to see the part of Sutherland from where his family emigrated. One great Uncle wrote in a letter we've read a copy of how he loved the very stones of his homeland. Too few letters remain. Knowing that his ancestors graves do exist and where they may be found is exciting. It would be sad to make the trip and miss any sense of connection.
Thank you all so much for your sharing.
