MessageHello, I live in the Netherlands and am a huge Lovin' Spoonful fan ever since my teens. I've been collecting Spoonful and related records etc since that time. Lately I've scanned all my records, cd's etc and uploaded them on facebook. If you like to go through the pictures you can simply type Lovin'Spoonful and get to my page. I will give you the URL but I don't know if this will work. I love to see anyone who cares about the Spoonful legacy. I hope you will hold the torch high so many people can read about them.

MessageI just rediscovered the Lovin Spoonful about a month ago. I was only familiar with the singles they had in the 1960s, so I began listening to all I found of their recordings, read every article, and watched and read every interview I could find, etc. As for John Sebastian, I had never heard of 'Rainbows All Over Your Blues.' I had heard "She's A Lady," but didn't know John Sebastian had albums of his own after the Spoonful disbanded. Well, while researching them, I discovered John B. Sebastian wrote the beautiful 'Lonely/Amy's Theme,'for the movie, 'You're A Big Boy Now.' It's been a pleasure getting to hear songs from their albums I had never heard before, see pictures of them I'd never seen before, both The Spoonful and of John, after he went solo. I'd like to thank you for this great site, all the photos, articles, commentary and information on The Lovin' Spoonful you have provided. I sure hope there is a lot more, because I can't get enough of John OR The Lovin' Spoonful! Thank you so very much! A Very Appreciative Fan of John Sebastian, The Lovin' Spoonful and this web-site: Sharon Moore
P.S. I'm 58-years old, and I was 12 or 13 when The Lovin' Spoonful came out in 1965, so I am not a new teen-age fan.

MessageI just want to point something out:
In your tribute page to John, you say some artists today have their pants on too tight, I'd like to argue that- how come they're always falling down? smilie smilie
No, but really I love your site smilie smilie

MessageReflections of when I would hang out in the NightOwl Cafe in Greenwich Village and watch "The Sellouts" a band that featured Joe Butler on drums {before he joined the Spoonful} and then I watched the Lovin Spoonful become famous. My friend Joan and I hung out with them one night. It was fabulous and I will never forget it. Thanks for this wonderful website!

MessageI've been a hugee Spoonful fan since the beginning. I was fortunate to meet John Sebastian several times, and got to interview him for one of the NJ radio stations I worked at. He was gracious, and a pleasure to spend time with. He's coming back to my area this November, and I look forward to enjoying the great tunes live again. Love the site, thanks! smilie
