MessageHi Marilyn, I have just wasted (in a good way!) an afternoon looking for some images of Bonsley Copse, I intended to do a painting of it, and was looking for more images. I had taken some myself - but yours are beautiful! I love all your photos on Flickr and feel like your dogs are part of my family now! Would you mind if I used a couple of your images as references for paintings? You can see the work I do on www.clairethomas.co.uk

Thankyou for the joy! You are a fab photographer.x

MessageMy maternal grandfather was Douglas Meaker (1913-2002) from Umtata, Transkei, South Africa. I am researching his family tree. His maternal grandfather was a Roberts of the 1820 English Settlers to the Cape Colony of South Africa.

MessageHi,
I visit the Canadian Island of Newfoundland every year. Last year a local approached me and asked if I knew anything about the Monmouth Rebellion. It would appear that his forefather was a Peddle and was invloved , he ended up in Newfoundland and helped fight off a French invasion at Carbonear 1690 ish. I am trying to trace this person and establish how he got to NFLD, he may have beeen one of those transported as a white slave and then went rum running to Nfld , jumped ship and stayed.Any advice direction you could give would make an old man in NFLD called Cable Peddle very happy. Best regards , Colin Harris, West Yorkshire, originally Scotland.
