MessageI was in Putnam County last week and took some photos in a few of the cemeteries. I'll be happy to share them. I am also looking for my g-g-grandparents who I cannot locate. If anyone can find Michael or Catherine Price or their daughter Anna Price Kelley, I would be thrilled. (They are probably buried in a Catholic Cemetery). Michael died in 1859 and Ann died in 1865. Thanks much. This is a great website! Gail Kelley

MessageThanks for this wonderful website. I am going to visit Putnam County for the first time August 5-8, 2009. You have helped me by providing a photo of my g-g-g-grandfather Christian Bare's tombstone in the Crow Cemetery. I am hoping to find the land that he farmed. Thanks again.

MessageI had just recently located my great-great grandparent's, Hanson & Elizabeth (Miller) Catlett, tomb monument in Harman Cemetery, along with many other family members (McDowell, Darling, and Ridge). I've lived in Lima for 52 years and couldn't believe I was this close all along. Thanks for the pics, April!

Messagethanks again for the information about jerry varners parents and grandparents. my mother did not remember her grandfathers name. she still remembers her grandfathers looks and his ability to talk practicaly non-stop!! she was 11 when he died in 1928. she also remembers him being wounded in the civil war and carrying some type of metal in him for the rest of his life. how many people still alive can still remember talking to someone who was in the civil war??? anyway she really enjoys the information i got from your website. she turned 92 today and is still sharp as a tack. she loves to read and is very independent. thanks again for all the info. i am going to search more on jacob varner to see what i can find.

There are over 50 cemeteries in Putnam County, I am up to 34 right now, and not all of those are completed yet. Thanks for your comments and signing my guest book! Sugar Ridge is coming Soon!!!! smilie
