MessageYou should good girlfriend! Nice to hear you're out and about. That helps me greatly, even when it's a friend dragging me somewhere I don't THINK I want to go, but I'm always glad I did. The more I can act like my normal self on the off week the better I feel. Makes chemo week (next week for me) a little easier to handle because I know it won't last forever.

Hang in there. Give me a shout if you need to talk.

Blessings,
Millie

MessageDaria,
I finally have gotten down to reading your blog from beginning to end. The highs and lows of what you are going through are incredible. Just knowing the day to day experiences I'm sure helps Don, your family, friends and aquaintances be a part of it. No one wants to be imposing when someone is sick. We tend to stand back and wait for the "all clear" signal". I have had two experiences now with cancer invading my family and we never had a chance to know how the experiences affected them emotionally and physically daily. It's such a personal battle.
As Martha Stewart says "this is a good thing". I suppose we generally don't feel anyone wants to hear our meandering thoughts, but I disagree. Write it down, get it out and move on to the next step.

MessageI am a general surgeon who performs many breast operations, including mastectomies. I seldom treat patients with stage 4 disease, because they usually are treated by the oncologist. Your blog has provided insight into the patient experience with this all-to-common condition. I see many patients in my office, but do not share the day to day realities of living with this disease. Good luck with your treatment, and keep up this excellent blog.

MessageDaria,
I also want to thank you for your blog, I, too, read it every day. I am continually amazed and inspired by you. You reach out to more people than you can ever know setting an example for us all to try to follow. I can only hope that I can be so gracious, giving and strong.

Keep up the good work.

Arlene

MessageHi Daria
I am so glad that you do this blog. I read it every day. When you talk about when you go for Tim Hortons I think wow coffee is one of her favorites and I think of us having coffee with you at Ray and Freda's. I hope that Daisy is snuggling with you lots. One of the drivers up here in Grande Prairie have a boxer dog his name is Baxter. I get to dog sit him once and a while. him and I are buddies (lots of dog treats went his way to achive that) if I sit on the couch downstairs he jumps up on my lap just like Daisy does. He crys when his owner goes just like Daisy. He goes with his owner in the big truck. His big truck has a twin to it and the other truck was leaving to go to work and Baxter started chasing it he must have thought Blaise was leaving him behind even though Blaise was right beside him. LOL I think that sounds so funny Blaise Bayet owns a boxer named Baxter and the three D's at your house Don Daria and Daisy. I will close for now. Tnaks again for doing this blog.
Suz-Ann
