I just happened across this site early this morning and must say that I am impressed with the cars that you have showing on your site. My 1967 convertible was purchased by my father when I was 15 and we restored it and he drove it around for several years. Originally a 283/Powerglide it still has the original buckets, console and tach on the dash with the turn signal in the bottom. When I was 22 I bought it from Dad, as he bought a 1969 SS 2 door hardtop - his dream car. I will be 45 in three weeks and the car will not be sold. Luckily my two boys (10 & 11) are keenly interested in my cars (69 SS ElCamino as well) so they will continue on with the passion.
I am going to order your fact book also as it will no doubt be a valuable resource for my family and friends to research our cars.

|Message||Purchased a new 67 Chevelle SS 396 L-78, M-21 4 spd, 3:73 posi as it fit in the very top of NHRA A/Pure Stock, it ran 14.4's first time out with 500 miles on the odometer. In 1968 added light dist. springs, removed the heat riser, changed to a M-20 4 spd and G-70x14 belted Mohawk tires, would go 13.9's @ 105 during the warm summer days and 13.7's @107 in the cool evenings. Went an absolute best of 13.54 @ 107 on a cool fall day just before I sold it.|
The M-20 was worth about 0.4 seconds by itself in the quarter by just having the lower 1st gear, but was not as stout a gearbox as the M-21 or 22, (lower torque rated by the factory). A very quick, fun street car, never beaten in its class. Marina blue with a black bucket interior.

|Message||I am looking for a 1967 chevelle, marina blue with blue interior, 4 speed with tack if possible.|
I have a 1968 Camaro, was a Z but the guy before me ruined the 302 and put in a 454, the engine is completely rebuilt, 500 h.p. with about 3k miles. The 373 posi is rebuilt.
Interior is all new with the head liner, all new wiring and all glass is new. Had the underside redone also. Just driven to car shows and has was a lot of trophies.
I want to sell the Camaro or trade it for a chevelle.

|Message||Mike I am restoring a numbers matching 1966 Chevelle 360 HP 4 speed M21 and I am in the assembly phase. While restoring what I believe is the original driveline it had 3 yellowish/ orange bands instead of what you describe and had no part# on it. It does appear to be the correct shape anf it is a perforct fit. My car was produce in very eaarly 66 and has an 4 bolt main riginal 396. I read most came with a 2 bol main block. Vin is stamped on the frame Engine and trans down to the original gears. It is now painted the original Aztec Bronze and has original black bucket interior and console with correct knee knocker tach. What are your thoughts on the driveline and I do plan to sell when complete this year. With the current market what do you think it might be worth for a 9 out of 10 restoration. If you like I can send some pics.|
