Message | Hi Mike, I just came across your website for the first time tonight as I was surfing the internet for 66-67 Chevelles for sale. I used to own a 1969 SS 396 when I was in high school and college from 1977-1982 (bought it for $1300 and sold it for $3000, and wish I still had it). I'm now 49 years old, becoming an empty nester and I'm starting to have some disposable income again to finally spend on something I really want. I'm looking for either a 66 or 67 SS 396 (doesn't matter which) that I'd like to have be all matching numbers, but also something that I could beef up somewhat. I would never go so far with it that I couldn't go back to stock/original if I wanted to. I'd add headers, maybe switch out the engine with a powerful crate engine with a blower, put some Mickey Thompson N50's on the back, Cragar rims, some ladder bars to take away the wheel hop, chrome rear end cover, stuff like that. I want one with a 4 speed transmission and a 12 bolt posi rear end (gears don't matter-may switch those out). I'd keep all of the original equipment handy for if I ever want to go back. No tubbing, no gutting the interior, nothing like that at all. I'm hoping to stay under $40,000 if possible, and I'm looking to buy summer or fall of 2013. Would you be able to help me locate a car like this? What do you charge for your services? Please contact me with your thoughts on this. Thanks, Rory |
