| Message | Hi to all at Birkenhead A.C. Firstly, I'd like to start by thanking your club for the lovely plaque that you donated to Orange Runners Club to use for a handicap run each year. As most of you would know, Jerry & Irene have just spent a couple of weeks down here, and made the trek over the mountains to spend a couple of days with us. On the Friday night Jerry presented our President (Frank) with the plaque, and the members present on the night decided that it should go to a runner in the Over 55 Age Category, which was a nice gesture, as it seems to be a category that doesn't always get a lot of recognition. There'll be some photos shortly. I'd like to thank you once again, and wish all of you the best with your running. Kind Regards Karen. P.S. | Message | I am trying to contact Stephen Saunders who used to be a pupil at Peterhead Academy in the late 70's and early 80's. I am certain that the Steve Saunders who is a member of Birkenhead AC is that same person. It would be great to hear from Stephen, if her is indeed the same person. | Message | Just to let you know folks that I am organising a race at Arrowe Park Wirral, on Sunday 20th February 2011 at 11.00Am . This is in order to raise funds to help seven year old Ariella Byrne to gain treatment in the USA to relieve the pain of cerebral palsy and to help her to walk independently. The run follows the usual cross country course that we follow. Entry forms can be downloaded from the Birkenhead website. You can enter on the day of the run as well. | Message | Hi to everyone at Birkenhead. I've been logging on to your website for a while now, and just wanted to congratulate the Club, and your web designer on a great job! Love the photos, especially the Summer ones at the moment. It's pretty cool over here as we received some snow Monday. So we're all looking forward to the annual City 2 Surf (14km) this Sunday. (Sydney City to Bondi Beach). Around 50,000 take part. Hopefully we'll have some photos I can send you. Enjoy your Summer running! Karen |
