MessageDad... How proud I was just a few years ago when I got your permission to call you that. I've always had a crush on you and was so pleased when you started dating my mom so many years ago. To this day, one of my best memories is the day I watched my Mommy marry the love of her life.

I will always treasure the discussions we had about the world, animals, religion, teaching and all kinds of projects. I am proud to be your daughter, and thrilled beyond words to know you are proud of me. I will miss your crazy personality, silly stories about what would otherwise be mundane things, and general twistedness.

Our family is incomplete without you. I am incomplete without you. "The world was never meant for one as beautiful as you."

All my love,
Debbie

MessageI guess I'm classed as a second cousin. I enjoyed our meeting at the Rhinelander reunion. I truly enjoyed our discussion about Animal welfare. May God give you a special place among the many people you have touched with your kindness and compassion.

MessageI was very taken back with the news. Our family (Trantows) have such great memories. Every year we vacationed with the Maaske family in Phillips WI Peter was like my big brother and watched over me. He also taught me how to play poker at the young age of 8 or 9. To this day everytime I play poker (I am pretty good at it) I think of Peter. Seeing our vacation was always close to the 4th of July both Peter and Jon would amaze us with their home made fireworks.

We had the a wonderful time with Peter at a family reuion just a couple of years ago and I got to met his wife, Ruth.

My sympathy goes out to Peter's family and friends.

I will remember fondly.

MessagePeter will be missed. Having not seen him in sooo many years, my fondest memories, like all the Trantow girls, are our times in Phillips. My memories were of the pyrotechnics that occured with ill gotten fireworks. My favorite was the wax little candy bottles with firecrackers that you got to explode underwater. Your love for your family, pets and the outdoors will be remebered. Much love.

MessageMy dear cousin Peter. You will be missed. I have such fond memories of you and times we spent together in Phillips as youngsters. I am glad we got to spend time with you and Ruth during the Dunham Family Reunion in Rhinelander. We enjoyed your stories about life in Texas. I will always remember you as the soft-spoken, smart cousin who taught my baby sister Kathy to cheat at cards!!!! There is now a tall and handsome angel watching out for all of the God's creatures.

MessageI had the privilege of knowing Peter Maaske only a few years, as I was a student in his Electronics class 98-2000. But to me it felt like we've been friends for years. Although we talked every now and then after I graduated, I hadn't talked to Peter in a long time. I contacted his friend, and my old professor, Chuck Dale at Eastfield College and Dr. Dale gave me the bad news. Peter and I used to talk about everything in class: from computers to electronics, and from crazy stories of his car experiences on mountain sides to the guy's life he saved using CPR. I admired he had the strength to do be tough enough to give up smoking. I know that's tough to do for long term smokers. He was a good man and he influinced my life greatly. Before enrolling in his class I had no clue what I would do with my life. He was a friend to all of his students and he did a great job of keeping most of us out of trouble. He will certainly be missed, and I'm just sorry I was never able to catch up with him. He will be missed.

MessageI have had the honor to be friends with Mr. Maaske for the past 9 years. I was his student in Electronics at South Garland High School for 3 years and following my graduation we continued to stay in touch on a regular basis. Ruth & Peter made regular appearances at many of my shows and had me over several times to there house. It was truly an honor to see all the projects and wall to wall electronics he had. We both shared a great passion for vintage audio equipment and electronics. Aside from Peter being the greatest teacher I ever had he was an even better friend, person and mentor to me. I learned so much from him and he was truly a genius when it came to anything electronics or technology wise. Aside from his many talents he spent a lifetime making a difference in so many lives not excluding the numerous animals he rescued. The Peter Maaske I knew had a heart of pure gold willing to help anyone. The news of his passing was very shocking to me and it's difficult to even express in words how much I will miss him. I know he will be missed by countless others to. I want to say I love and miss Peter Maaske and will forever cherish the profound impact and difference he made in my life.
