| Message | I served aboard the USS Kemper County LST-854 from August 1965 to September 1968. I reported aboard as an RMSN, when I departed in 1968 I was an RM2. I graduated in 1965 from NAVY Radioman "A" School Class 16A-65 and have been seeking my section leader. I can only remember his last name Nitz. He was an easy going guy and a great section leader. | Message | I went to "A" school in San Diego in 1958, and was sent to NavComFacPhil that same year. What a perfect place to be stationed. Had the time of my life. I have been trying to find out where I can find some of the old San Miguel base insignia's to purchase. If anyone has them for sale, or knows where I can get them, please e-mail me.
