MessageWent to Bainbridge in 1962. Submarine recruiter visited the school just before graduation and I was hooked. Served on the USS Entemedor (SS-340) out of State Pier, New London til 1966. Great experience! Memories are what matter as we all get a little older. Can't take them away. Still remember CW. Don't you love it? God Bless

NAF NAPLES ITALY JUNE 1963 - AUGUST 1965.
Made RM3 in May 1963 and RM2 IN May 1965.
Released from active duty August 1965.
Reenlisted for 2 years in September 1968 as RM2.
Went to NAVFAC Midway Island in October 1968 and stayed there with my wife and son until September 1970. Did not stay for 20, although I should have.
Loved being a Radioman. Only sea time I had was 2 weeks aboard the USS Talahatchie County AVB-2.
My ears still perk up when ever I hear the code on TV.
My email address is [email protected] if anyone wants to contact me.

MessageI was in from 1967 thru 1971.
NTC Great Lakes
RM A at Bainbridge, MD
Code school at Norfolk
USS Sutter County LST-1150
We spent most of our time transporting bombs
from Subic to Cua Viet and up the rivers working
for the riverine force and listening to concussion
grenades all nite long.
USS Tolovana AO-64
We spent most of our time off the coast of Viet
Nam fueling ships.
It was great though, I always enjoy thinking and
hearing about my time over there.
