Type of Cancerosteosarcoma
MessageI rescued Arie when he was 3 months old. He is now 7 and was diagnosed in May 2014 I have cried so much. While I have lost family and friends this pain seems insurmountable. There is so much to be taught from pets. If we could all behave as they do this world would be a much better place. His tumor has grown significantly on his left wrist. I do not have the resources to complete chemo. I am taking him tues back to our family vet. I am hoping we can amputate. I cannot, nor do not want to think of my life without him. Seven isn't old! He is so brave and truly my best friend. My other dogs are unsure how to react, as he is the "leader" I am angry also as I look at all the dogs around me that are mistreated. I love Arie so much. Please pray for us. Thank you.

BreedShar-Pei
StateMaryland
Type of CancerOsteosarcoma
MessageMax was diagnosed on May 22, 2014. Even with the prednisone and antibiotics he steadily declined. The steroids strank the mass on his left mandible and the blood subsided. 2 days after I weened him off the steroids he began to bleed again. On 6/23/14 I took him to the vet to have him euthanized. I feel as if I lost half of my heart. He was not only a family member but a child of mine who grew up with my son who is 12. The pain that I am experiencing is so intense, that I'm asking for prayers for strength and prayers that he is okay and cancer free now. Thanks

BreedSheltie
Type of Cancernasal tumor
MessagePepe was just diagnosed. I opted for home hospice care and pain medication until such time as he is no longer happy. He is almost 12 years old. I got him from a Sheltie rescue organization when he was 3. I lost my last Sheltie to cancer. He had a leg amputated and was never the same. I learned a lot. That, combined with his age, helped me to decide against drastic treatments that I feel would make him feel worse than the cancer - and possibly kill him. I will keep Pepe with me as long as he is happy. I owe it to him to do my best by him and this is what I feel is best.

BreedCockapoo
StateNew York
Type of CancerLymphoma
MessageMy beloved 8 1/2 year old Cockapoo named Meatball (Meaty) was diagnosed with early stage lymphoma on Saturday, June 21, 2014. My husband and I are heartbroken. He is our best friend and love of our lives.
It was serendipitous that I even found Meaty- I moved from NY to LA, he was from Montana, I went into a pet shop to browse and the owner said I have a puppy you may like, and it was love at first sight!!!! We stayed in LA, hung out in Vegas, and finally I brought him home to NY.
Being Meatys mom has taught me to be humble, patient, and enjoy life's simple pleasures. Everyday after work I cannot wait to come home to him. A perfect day is the three of us spending the day together and having Meaty check out new places.
I pray for everyone's precious fur baby listed here. Enjoy them, kiss and hug them every chance you get. There is some solace in knowing that all of our precious babies will meet each other The Rainbow Bridge- where the will run, jump, and play until we can take care of them again!!!!!!

Today we were told it was an aggressive cancer. Gus is the best dog ever. He loves everyone and is so sweet and gentle. He is our boy! I can't stop crying and I am sick to my stomach with worry. The oncologist appt. is Tuesday. I don't know what will happen. Please pray for Gus.

Once our daughter was born, he slept under her crib till she graduated to a real bed. I cannot imagine life without him but he has had a fabulous life. He will be 14 years old on 9/13. Please keep us and Bailey in your prayers...Doggie heaven will be lucky to have him when that time comes.
