| Message | Hi Jim, I have recently taken on a most rewarding volunteer job. I joined the Sheperd Center. It is an organization that works with those who have had strokes, cancer and those who are fighting dementia which leads to alzheimers. We do activities to stimulate the cognitive aspects. I use my fb games. That is why progression has slowed down alittle on game playing. Some are responding well to the games. We watch Gomer DVDs and discuss his relationship with the Marines and Sgt. Carter. We are also working on an art show and fashion show. It is just wonderful what they can produce. Our fvorite book right now is, This Time together, buy Carol burnett. We even listened to her cd where Carol tells her story in the very best way. We are getting amazing results. Our progress is being sent to the Gerenetics Society for research. I hope others will seek out this organization in their area. Most meet in a church. All I can think about is I am following in their footsteps and perhaps helping others will prevents some of these illnesses in the future for me! |

| Message | Hi Special Fans ! All packed and ready to go on my "dream " vacation to Nova Scotia ! Leaving on Wednesday, --home on Oct 3rd. Mabey after this vacation Jim you'll find me sitting across from your home wearing a tee shirt and hat that I've had for many years. Your goofy smile on the front and "GOLLLEEE " on the back. | Message | Gomer Plye will always be rated as one of the best tv series of all time. Jim Nabors is such a talented singer and entertainer that will always be in the hearts of us all. I hope to see him in concert in the very near future. The guest book was very interesting to read. His fans appear to be some of the best in the world. |

| Message | I have a new favorite song by Gomer,"Hot Dog Heart". I seem to have missed that one through the years. I noticed you recorded that one in 1965, the year I graduated from High School. Roll Tide, they look like a pro team! Oh by the way, I love guys who have intelligent responses bout their alma mater, especially elephants! they are very bright animals. But that is not why Big Al is at Bama. I learned this through my research when doing the quilts: a reporter was covering the bama game in 1930 and he was going to take a picture of the team when they ran on the field, his response,"Here come them elephants!" Big Al was born. He, Jim and Betty are the same age. |
