| Message | A major fan of "Gomer Pyle" growing up in the 70's, not knowing they were reruns then, never the less I LOVED Gomer Pyle! And while I loved his GOLL-LEE and Shaz zam , etc, what got me was when I was like 13, and I heard Jim sing "Impossible Dream" . I went out and found a LP with that song on it. I miss the reruns. I haven't seen it in 20 years! You can bet I'd watch again if it was on. The world would be better place to have more Gomers in this world! | Message | Happy Birthday,Jim! My Dad, Charles Stork, served in the Marines during the early 1950s. He served at the Kaneohe Bay Marine Corps Base as an airplane mechanic for a while. When I was a kid in the 1960s, Dad and I watched "Gomer Pyle:USMC" a lot and, as I recall, Dad really enjoyed your show! Dad passed away in 2005 and has been in Heaven 5 years now.
