| Message | How kind it is to read messages sent regarding my health. It has been very cold down to zero degrees in Sydney (rare) and I have been ill now for seven weeks with recurring pneumonia and had two trips into hospital. However we are approaching the shortest winter day tomorrow and hopefully the weather may improve from cold and windy.Spring in September will be welcome!!! Was so pleased that Jim had a wonderful birthday it is quite an achievement to reach 80 and still be able to sing as gloriously as he does for us all. We are very blessed to have the comfort of this from so far away. What would we do if not for his glorious voice raised in praise as we share this method of thanks to God for all we have and are. Blessings to you all and may the sunshine of God's face be on you all. A good friend will be driving due to the vision problem I'm having. We're staying @ the Holiday Inn accross from the theater. I've had tickets since Feb. I can't wait !! | Message | I sent a birthday greeting to Mr. Nabors on his birthday, I guess for some reason it didn't get through. So, I'll try again. Happy Birthday Mr. Nabors. 80 years is a great milestone to reach. You and my dad are close in age. He was born August 7, 1929 and is in good health. We met you in the summer of '71 here in Dallas, TX. I was just 12 years old then, now I am 51. Dr. Phil says we all have defining moments in our lives and I just wanted you to know that you were one of the defining moments in my life. Just like you said on that episode of "Gomer Pyle", to that Marine sergeant that took you out to fight in the alleyway of the Bluebird Cafe, you chastised him for being mean and rude to his waitress/girlfriend and told him he was supposed to be the bright spot in her day. Mr. Nabors, you have been a bright spot in my life and I just want you to know that. I am honored that I got to meet you back in 1971. I know you hear accolades from so many other people.
