| Message | It always makes me feel so pleased to read notes sent from others in Australia, that lovely island lovingly known as down under, as well as words sent my me.
Jim would be thrilled Jan, because he has many fond memories of his visits to our shoresa. Indeed that is where I first met him in 1979!. Gone are the days when humour is clean, non violent and without any obscenities that we have to endure today. I think that God broke the mould of programmes such as Andy Griffith with Ron Howard as a small boy and then of course our much loved Gomer. The character of Gomer was everything to everybody, kind, considerate believing in fair play and always respect for others. This though is true of Jim himself and a nicer gentleman one could always enjoy meeting.
Bless you Jim for the joy, happiness and appreciation of your wonderful voice and your ability to be still able to share it with us all. Your acting was always entertaining but I think I enjoy Stoker Ace the best!
I look forward now to leaving new south wales in a few weeks to enjoy myself in what I classify as Paradise on Earth. Will of course be so pleased to be able to enjoy the Christmas concerts once again and wish you all the very best.Emma, Karen and Jimmy Boerge all of whom I have been lucky enough to meet. especially to Burton the wonderful artistic director. Age though is slowing me dowsn and this might be my swan song, but God will dictate this to me. Blessings and prayers are with you Betty |
