| Message | This message is for Carl. Unfortunately, there is no recording of Jim singing "Danny Boy." He would do a beautiful job of singing it, I know. He does sing, "May The Road Rise to Meet You" (also known as An Irish Prayer) on his CD "When He Spoke." It is a beautiful song, and a piece not often heard put to song. |

| Message | To: Chris and Pete Lindstrom from Indianapolis Indiana. Dear sweet Chris and Pete; Thank you for sending your letter and the two pictures for the Indy 500 block. When I was doing research on the Indy and thinking of ideas to make the block so special, I turned to the Indy 500 website. I decided I wanted to make it the year 1930. We know how Jim and his Indy fans have such a special bond. So Terry went to Pam Warden to clip art Jim in the 1930 car that Billy Arnold had driven and won in that year. Of course we know that Jim was born in that year. We really wanted to make that block very special for you and your wonderful Indy association. | Message | Hi Sonia, Just a quick note to say your block was very special to a fellow quilter. We don't see those types of cotton fabrics here in Louisiana. Maybe we can do a fabric exchange some time. I hope you didn't mind the alteration I had to make. I thought long and hard about how to include your recipes (and Betty sent keepsakes as well). My answer was to create pockets from heavy duty clear vinyl. That way the contents could be removed for viewing and cleaning, and it was the least obstructive to view the entire block. The top of each pocket partially seals with Velcro. I had to get really creative with these two quilts, but it was a lot of fun, too. And it makes a body feel like part of the whole -- that's what Jim does, too. Happy Holidays and coming New Year to all! |

| Message | I put Cuba cause i am from Cuba. Raise in Guantanamo Bay Cuba. I to say i got your Gomer Plye USMC just 3 days ago. i'm watching it now. and it makes me laugh now like before.love it. I know u are in Hawaii..my dream place since i was 13. i was there once in 1997 Maui. I think u were great in the Andy Griffin show. I am watching Gomer Plye Usmc and it takes me back. i love going back. I have also Hawaii 5-0 and i love it. I feel in love with Hawaii watching it. Thank you Mr. Nabor for all those great shows.
