| Message | Golleee! I leave here now in such a short tinme to go to the concerts in Hawaii and it gives me such a thrill to be able to meet with and listen toJim! I will tell him ofall the new entries on the guestbook and know he will be delighted to know that so many fans still appreciate and enjoy the shows he was in even so very long ago.. I am a very old fan and so have been able to join the millions of people who remember him with his such great kindnesses. This guestbook is somewhere where we can voice our esteem for him without anythought of others perhaps not responding as they should merely to thank him for all his life has meant for us and for no other purpose! | Message | Hey, Jim! Aloha! And to everyone else as well. A week from Tuesday is "D-day" for leaving here and heading West to California to see Joe at Pendleton, then on to Hawaii. To the other Susan--looking forward to meeting you. Betty! -- can't wait to see you up close and personal. Charisse and Jim, you know how much I'm looking forward to seeing you. Wish I'd known earlier about the quilts, because I have fabulous pictures of Jim at the track. It is someplace he loves, and someplace where all of us love having him here every May. Truly, it's indescribable. You have to be there to see the event from all the pre-race activities, through to the finish of the race. There's nothing like it. | Message | Roll Tide!!! As a graduate of Bama some years ago, I was thrilled to find out you are an alum. My children have adored you on the reruns of Andy Griffith and didn't believe me when I told them of your singing talents. I showed them the "Santa Lucia" clip and you could hear a pin drop!!! I can't wait 'til Christmas to play for them the CD's you've made. Your work is absolutely timeless. Thanks for adding to our family traditions! |

| Message | Mr. Nabors, I met you several years ago at a show you did in Sevierville, TN. My wife and I have been fans for many years. My son encouraged me to share a story with you that I shared with him a few days ago. I promised him I would. My Dad died of cancer in 1971 when I was 11 years old. His favorite show was "Gomer Pyle". He was in too much pain most of the time to enjoy watching TV. One afternoon about week before he passed away; he asked me to tell him when it was time for Gomer. He was too weak to laugh, but there was a smile on his face for 30 minutes as he forgot about the pain and watched his favorite show one last time. It was the episode when Sgt. Carter boxed the Navy Skipper on the ship. Thank you for the joy you brought to my Dad, myself, and millons of others. I would love to see you in person again if you ever return to Tennessee. If not, I will meet you in Heaven some day and introduce you to my Dad. May God Bless you! |

| Message | While in the US Navy in 64-68, I spent much of my off duty time running from fans who mistook me for Jim Nabors. Not just once but often. Our XO even referred to me as Gomer. In later years, I wear a mustache which dampens the spirits as well as you do not have a weekly TV show. Not a bad thing to be remembered for. Thanks, Dale |
