| Message | Hi folks I had a nasty accident and almost cut the top off my index finger on my left hand and had to have micro surgery as I had cut right through the bone and all nerve endings are located here and consequently all fingers have been extremely sore. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has told me about the July concert, I cannot see how I can write personally as I cannot use my left hand much yet. I am afraid that my older age and possible finANCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES WILL NOT ALLOW me to make the trip. I will be with you all in spirit. It really was a highlight to meet you all at the last concert and the memory will be with me always. To listen to and hopefully speak TO Jim IS SUCH A JOY AS WE ALL KNOW.Lisa you are in my thoughts and hope things are progressing well for you I will write to you soon. Glad to read SusanB that Joe is now on the long road to recovery With best wishes and God's richest blessings to you all Jim you are so loved and admired by so many millions and I send a special Blessing that God will guide you and keep you to be able to appear at INDY AND THE AMERICAN theatre and reap the wonderful responses you always do from those in attendance Betty |

| Message | Just enjoyed another episode of Gomer Pyle, and I had that extra enjoyment of listening to that wonderful voice. It was that episode when you was in a contest, and Brian who was your main threat was helping you. Great stuff, look forward to the next episode when you sing The impossible dream. |

| Message | Aloha one and all! What a two weeks it has been, but Joe is truly better. To be sure, he still hurts terribly at times, but he took himself off pain killers and now has not had anything for two whole days. He can walk up and down the halls of the hospital on crutches. Some stitches, actually staples (shin, with knee to follow) will come out soon. The hip stitches will come out on Friday or Saturday. I went to a Best Buy and got him yet another set of "Gomer Pyle, USMC," and he and his new roommate in he hospital were watching when I left! Oh, how that young man looks up to and admires Jim!! The big conference is tomorrow (all the docs/therapists), and when I leave here on Thursday, I will do so with some tears, but many of them will be of eternal gratitude for the loving care Joe has received at the two hospitals. So soon, it is back to Honolulu. Love to all of you! See my Honolulu friends really soon! Susan |
