| Message | Jan, Hi, I am a friend of Deron's from college. I wish I had known about this blog earlier. Thank you so much for sharing and updating. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Deron but am convinced as Deron and you that this earthly life is only temperary and Deron is really living now!I remember Deron as being so fun, silly at times- very smart, yet very humble. I was so blessed to have been around people (Deron being one) that were so strong in their Christian faith while I was at Brookings. I wish I would have gotten a chance to meet you Jan. You seem like such a neat lady. I guess I should have known that you would be since Deron married you. I am praying for you. |

| Message | Jan and family, Please accept my most heartfelt sympathies. I worked for Deron's dad for many years and we shared many moments about Deron. I pray for your strength now as well as later. I lost my husband very suddenly five years ago so I understand the loss that you are feeling. Please know that many are praying for you and your family - and the power of prayer is an amazing and wonderful thing. My prayers are also with Sharon and Dawn and her family. | Message | JAN,DAWN AND SHARON...........MY HEART ACHES AND I KNOW NOT WHAT TO SAY. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS LIKE TO LOSE A HUSBAND, A FATHER, A BROTHER, OR A SON. WHAT I DO KNOW IS THAT DERON WAS A LOVING HUSBAND, A GREAT FATHER AND ROLE MODEL FOR HIS CHILDREN, A BELOVED BROTHER, AND A SON THAT MADE HIS PARENT'S UNDERSTAND THERE IS NO LOVE AS STRONG AS THAT OF A PARENT FOR THEIR CHILD. EVERYONE THAT KNEW DERON WILL MISS HIM SO, BUT I AM STRONG IN MY BELIEF THAT HE IS ALSO MISSING US, AS HE PATIENTLY AWAITS THE ULTIMATE REUNION OF ALL. I AM HOPING THAT THERE IS SOME WAY FOR ME TO BE OF HELP. I AM 90 MINUTES FROM THE HOSPITAL AND ALMOST NEXT DOOR TO YOU, DAWN.
