Keep the focus on the moment for when you are old you will reflect on this great accomplishment. | Message | Hi Doug! I saw photos of you earlier today, taken while on your amazing trek, and you were SMILING in two of them! What's that all about? Surely they must have been touched up! I mean, it's been in the hot and humid 90s here in Philadelphia, and I'm driving around in my car with the air conditioning blasting, and I'm not smiling! I have to actually walk 20 feet or so - and sometimes more than 50 feet! - to get from a parking space to where I am meeting people, and that means leaving the coolness of the car's interior to enter the blast furnace of the outdoors, and you don't see me smiling!!! So what's with you smiling as you pedal power your way across America? What are you, the poster child for seeing the best in everything and making the most of every minute? Oh yeah. I forgot.
