| Message | Hey Doug! You and I just chatted {it's now 11:15pm, Saturday in PA} and so I took a look at your on-lines photos, especially the one showing you dipping your bike in the Pacific! Now it's blessed! Well, born and raised in San Francisco, that's still my bias. Did I ever tell you that about two weeks after I arrived in Philadelphia back in 1984, friends invited me to join them on a jaunt to Atlantic City. You probably think that meant it was a bike ride, but I assure you that was not the case! We drove. When we arrived there, they immediately took me to the Board Walk - a new experience for me since I had never heard that expression before - and Stan's wife said, "Look! Look!" and I said, "What?" and she replied, "That's the ocean!" And I smiled and said, "That's not the ocean. That's AN ocean. The Pacific is THE ocean." I almost didn't get a ride back to Philadelphia. Now your bike has been blessed, so to speak, in THE ocean and all of us who care about you are blessed to have you in our lives. | Message | Doug, I only heard about RAMM a few years ago. Last year I had the opportunity to see Team Bacchetta finish in Atlantic City as well as Team Endeavor. Since then, I have read all I can about this amazing ride and the people who attempt it. You have worked long and hard for this.
