MessageLooking for information on William and Cinthia Barnhill, granted land in 1834 in what possibly is now Wood County. The grant was made at Tenoxititlan in conjunction with the Austin and Williams Upper Colony. Barnhill came from Tennessee and was born around 1774, died around 1850. I want to know where his original grant of land was in what is now Wood County, and any other information about the Barnhill family there.

MessageLooking for records on Henry Walker Stevenson who died in Wood Co. after 1870 census. He is buried there I believe. Henry Walker is son of William Stevenson, "First Protestant Minister of Texas". (Methodist) Some of his children stayed in Wood Co and some went on to Hunt Co. Coats are related, too.
