MessageI know now, from personal experience, that without stem cells and the necessary public support of publicly banked cord blood, options for critically ill individuals significantly decrease. Good on you for writing such a clear and powerful letter. I hope we will hear a retraction and new advice.

MessageI'm so glad you wrote that letter to set them straight about the possibly vast and certainly negative implications of making such a flip remark! (I've been stumping for cord blood donation among pregnant friends every since Gracie's diagnosis, and it's tough to explain how this is different from that banking brochure they got from their ob/gyn.) Anyway, great letter.

And, much love and prayers,
Dana

MessageHi Gracie! Forgive me, I'm new at this guest book thing. I thought I sent you a letter, but apparently this first part didn't go through. I have a friend who lives in Lake City and she sent me the article about you from the local paper. In 1977 God blessed me with a very special gift. His name is Nathan and he is just like you. Nathan was so full of love and happiness that everyone who met him got showered with it. We lived life to the fullest and had many exciting things happen to us. Among them was a trip to the National Institute of Health in Maryland. We stayed at the hospital and hit Washington D.C. on our free time. Nathan feel in love with flying and I feel in love with the feeling of my feet on the ground. In l987 we went to Disney World and had 5 days of being treated like royalty. Nathan's favorite ride was the bumpy plane ride home. He giggled in every bump. Another memorable event was going to a basketball game made up of Chicago Bears football players. Nathan was given a Super Bowl football from Walter Payton. When we went to N.I.H., Nathan was the longest living Hurler's child known. At the age of nearly 14 he went to share his love and happiness to many who were waiting in Heaven for him. As you are to your family and even strangers, Nathan was a special gift to the world. You are special to me and I LOVE YOU!

MessageHey Guys!
Sorry it has been so long since I have checked in on sweet Grace. I'm sad to hear she is in the hospital, but happy that she is in good spirits. She sounds just like our Ireland who also happens to be back in the hospital (nothing serious). We are hoping to go home tomorrow. Sorry we never got the chance to say goodbye before you left RMH. We think of you often and you are in our prayers!! 19407
Take care and God bless!

MessageI have been on vacation out West for a month. I took a break from the computer. I saw your Mom at church on Sunday and was distressed to learn that the Peanut was in the hospital. Then today I check and she is home. God is good. I did not take a break from praying for Gracie. I think of her often. It is hard to believe that you are coming up on the six month check-up. Time flies. Hope Gracie and the family stay well and happy. Much love, Roseanna
